Our Mission
The Glasgow Palestine Human Rights Campaign was formed in early 2003 after visiting refugee camps in the West Bank. We witnessed firsthand the stark poverty and injustices inflicted upon the Palestinian people, and resolved to take action.
Our work goes beyond charity - we operate in a spirit of solidarity with our Palestinian friends. We believe in practical support that makes a real difference: funding education, providing medical aid, supporting cultural initiatives, and helping document human rights violations.
We also recognize the importance of building relationships. Our members regularly visit the camps to work alongside Palestinians, understand their experiences, and enjoy the warm company of these incredibly resilient people.
Our Approach
- Direct Support: 100% of donations go directly to Palestinian communities
- Education Focus: Funding tuition fees and educational opportunities
- Medical Aid: Supporting healthcare and emergency medical needs
- Documentation: Providing tools to record and share human rights violations
- Cultural Support: Assisting theatre groups and community organizations
